Why Aquatic Herbicides Affect Aquatic Plants and Not You!

The public has many misconceptions about the use of pesticides. There is increasing demand for factual, scientific information on the proper use and misuse of pesticides. In this web-based presentation, aquatic herbicides are used to demonstrate scientific concepts regarding herbicide toxicity, persistence in the environment, dosage, mode-of-action, carcinogenicity, bioaccumulation and other public concerns. Presented by Dr. Carole Lembi, Professor of Botany in the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, Purdue University. This presentation is available in other formats and on CD (Macintosh/Windows) or DVD by request. View a transcript of this presentation.
