The public
has many misconceptions about the use of pesticides. There is increasing
demand for factual, scientific information on the proper use and misuse
of pesticides. In this web-based presentation, aquatic herbicides are used
to demonstrate scientific concepts regarding herbicide toxicity, persistence
in the environment, dosage, mode-of-action, carcinogenicity, bioaccumulation
and other public concerns. This 49-slide set is voice narrated by Dr.
Carole Lembi, Professor of Botany in the Department of Botany and Plant
Pathology, Purdue University.
