Career Outlook

Graduates of our department typically have little difficulty in finding suitable professional employment. Our graduates are in various university, industry, government, and private enterprise positions throughout the United States and world.

Carrie Lapaire, M.S. 2002

"The education I received through course and lab work, as well as my experience at the Purdue University Plant and Pest Diagnostic Laboratory gave me a broad base of knowledge and invaluable hands-on experience. The knowledge and experience I accumulated during my graduate education gave me the flexibility and strength necessary to pursue my goal of working in plant pathology. I rely daily on the training I received to conduct my work with the USDA."

Carrie Lapaire, M.S. 2002, USDA-ARS
