Lexar (1.47 lb ai s-metolachlor + 0.224 lb ai mesotrione + 1.74 lb atrazine) - Syngenta Labeled in Indiana

Grain Sorghum - Origonally only labeled in grain sorghum in Kansas and Nebraska, Syngenta announced that it recieved expanded registration to all states. Lexar can be applied up to 21 days before planting through preemergence to grain sorghum that has been treated with a seed safener at 3.0 qt/A. The Lumax label presently recomends the use of Concep III. Applications within 7 days of planting can increase the risk of crop injury. Rainfall or irrigation at this time can exaserbate this risk.

Sequantial applications can be used. Apply 1.5 to 1.75 qt/A, non-incorporated early preplant (7 to 21 days before planting) followed by a second applications of 1.25 to 1.5 qt/A. Do not exceed over 3.0 qts/A a growing season.

If weeds are present, use NIS at 0.25% v/v or a crop oil concentrate at 1% v/v.

Not recommended for sandy soils or on forage sorghum, sudangrass, or sorghum-sudan grass hybrids. Do not apply to emergeged sorghum. Not for use in sorghum produced for forage.

Lumax has excellent preemergent control of barnyardgrass, crabgrass, foxtail, black nightshade, common ragweed, jimsonweed, lambsquarter, pigweeds, annual smartweeds, velvetleaf, and waterhemp.
